The following is the excerpt from the Book- ‘The Cosmic Law of Existence – Dharma’. The book explores “Dharma”, which is not a scriptural dharma as we currently understand it but the Law. The principles of Dharma elaborated in the book have a very different take on the too often explained Dharma. The Dharma exists as a basis for everything to happen as the substratum of life as well as no life, of the beginning and the end too. The concepts don’t belong/ elaborate any of the available scriptures or write ups on dharma. The ideas in each chapter have been discussed with pondering questions at the start of each chapter as a ‘Deal Breaker’ and the answers come as a ‘Koan’ at the chapter end.
The reader needs to read, assimilate, observe nature and find their ‘Swa-dharma’, which is the main purpose of the book. The principles elaborated upon are available for anyone to observe and validate in nature which created the entire cosmos.
It may not justify summarising the book as a synopsis, as the idea stands novel. We don’t want to use any pre programmed definitions in synopsis.
The writing style tilts a little towards sarcastic humor and thought provoking. The Hindi ‘Dohas” at the start of all chapters and the poignant Hindi poem at the end to give a glimpse into the experience of Dharma for the authors as shared in the book. The concepts have been supported with enough stories, examples and open-ended questions.
The book is divided into three sections.
The first section is about unlearning/questioning the already existing ideas about Dharma.
The second section elaborates on the easily observable principles of cosmic dharma.
The third section shares very open-ended answers to most often asked questions in relation to dharma and Swa-dharma. It gives a glimpse to the reader as to how cosmic dharma can be applied in day-to-day life as Swa- dharma.
The book is a conversation between two people whose background has been defined in the beginning of the book as two Scenes.
Sarang-the wise one and Masum- the enquirer. We sincerely hope that the book brings clarity and more awareness of the self in the cosmic context to the reader.
